St. Anthony on the Desert

Here at St. Anthony on the Desert, we believe that each person is created by God with value and purpose and that together we are better than we are alone. We invite you to discover your purpose in a community of friends and feel inspiration and spiritual connection. Our mission is to make a difference in our community and in each others lives. We invite you to come and make a difference with us.

The Vision
To restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.

The Mission
To celebrate the life-changing love of Christ through worship, teaching and outreach.

The Sprirt of St. Anthony

The Spirit of St. Anthony on the Desert is something very real to us. This spirit is what new and long-time members express when asked what makes St. Anthony so special. It can be felt the minute enter our doors, and you take it with you when you leave.

Central to our spirit are the people who represent a diverse group of backgrounds, ages, incomes and social views. We form a montage that is unique to St. Anthony. Deep and meaningful friendships grow and are nurtured through the many opportunities for worship, fellowship, study and outreach. Joining us together is the deeply meaningful worship service of the Episcopal Church.

Our Hope for the Future
We feel that our past is a strong foundation for our future. We are mindful of the need to move forward by answering God's call to us and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in and through us. By asking what it is that God wants us to do, instead what it is that we want to do, we feel our journey together will continue to nurture and support not only us, but also the communities in which we live.

Wednesday Worship
Holy Communion & Healing Service
This noonday service combines prayers for healing with a celebration of the Eucharistic. This intimate service is held in our Chapel of St. Luke the Physician. Laying on of hands is offered for those seeking healing.

Sunday Worship
Holy Communion 8:00 a.m. Are you an early riser? Join us for a more intimate service of Holy Eucharist with organ and cantor.

Holy Communion 10:00 a.m. This service time meets the needs of many families as we offer a staffed nursery as well as programs for children and youth. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated with gifted musical support from our various choirs.

Third Sunday As the name suggests on the Third Sunday of each month (September through May) our 10 am service provides a special emphasis on children and youth. A bit more abbreviated liturgy incorporates a children’s sermon time and showcases our talented Chalice Players as they provide a dramatic rendering of our scripture stories.
