St. Anthony on the Desert Jubilee Center Ministries
Angel Tree Ministry ~ Barbara Guenther
A national prison fellowship ministry that provides Christmas Gifts for children of incarcerated parents and the sharing the Gospel with the families of these children with age-appropriate literature. Also, using financial donations received from our St. Anthony members, Angel Tree provides families with Thanksgiving and Christmas food assistance in the form of Safeway certificates. Church volunteers deliver gifts, wrap presents and call caregivers.
Vista del Camino
Vista del Camino is a City of Scottsdale community center that provides emergency social services, counseling, financial assistance, job preparation and youth programs for the disadvantaged and needy. At St. Anthony we regularly collect canned goods, toiletries, clothing and household items to meet the needs of those in crisis situations. Certain events throughout the year focus on specific needs.
Habitat for Humanity ~ Grant Gilfeather
This national ministry has as its mission to provide quality, affordable housing for working families of modest means. With the help of physical and financial donations from St. Anthony's members, parishioners help build homes with other members of the Valley's Episcopal Coalition.
East Mesa Men's Center ~ Jon Bost
The Men's Ministry Group of St. Anthony prepares lunches and dinners periodically for the East Mesa Men's Center, a shelter for homeless men.
Youth Mission Trip
Each summer the senior youth group goes on a 9 day mission trip with adult advisors somewhere in the U.S. On this mission, our youth join with others from around the country to help elderly, unemployed or handicapped people with major home improvement projects and participate in Christian programs in the evenings. The youth raise funds throughout the year to fund their trip.
